Michael Hall, Ph.D., is an entrepreneur based in the Rocky Mountains of Western Colorado. He spent 20 years running a private therapy practice and 10 years operating an NLP Training Center. In the early 1990s, he shifted focus to modeling expertise, leading to the creation of numerous NLP and Neuro-Semantic models, including the Meta-States Model. Dr. Hall studied and collaborated with Richard Bandler, contributing to several of Bandler’s books and writing his own on NLP, such as *The Spirit of NLP* (1996), *Becoming More Ferocious as a Presenter*, and *Time For a Change*.
Dr. Hall earned his doctorate in Cognitive-Behavioral Psychology from Union Institute University in Cincinnati, Ohio. His dissertation examined the language used in four psychotherapies (NLP, RET, Reality Therapy, Logotherapy) through the lens of General Semantics. He presented an integration of NLP and General Semantics at the Interdisciplinary International Conference in 1995. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management of Human Resources. Additionally, he pursued a Master’s in Biblical Literature and Language.
As an accomplished author, Dr. Hall has written 58 books, 30 serial books, and over 100 published articles. He is recognized as a leading NLP Trainer and Developer. Notable models he has developed include the Meta-States Model, The Matrix Model, and Axes of Change. In 1996, he co-founded Neuro-Semantics® with Dr. Bob Bodenhamer, focusing on meaning and performance.
Dr. Hall has completed 27 modeling projects encompassing areas such as resilience, self-reflexive consciousness, “thinking,” communication excellence, sales, persuasion, accelerated learning, wealth creation, women in leadership, fitness and health, cultures, leadership, and collaboration.
